Joseph L Beaver

Founder of Setting Sun Ninpo Society

Shidoshi Beaver began his study of Togakure Ninjutsu in Atlanta, Georgia in the mid-1970's when he was introduced to Stephen K Hayes.  Over the course of those early years of ninjutsu's introduction to the Western World, Shidoshi Beaver and Sensei Hayes became close friends.  When Sensei Hayes decided to return to Japan to further his studies of his art, he asked Shidoshi Beaver to take over his school and keep training others in the ancient art of Ninpo.

In 1982, Shidoshi Beaver made the decision to move to Florida's West Coast where he has continued to train a select group of students.  The Atlanta Dojo was turned over to Bud Malmstrom.
